Giving students the
confidence to save
Welcome!
"High school students will become the next generation of bystanders who can provide CPR and AED use, once they are educated. Those trained as students are likely to be in homes or community sites where cardiac arrests commonly occur." - Dr. Victoria Vetter, MD, MPH
The Story of Us
Welcome to the Emergency Education Initiative! Founded by a former CPR/BLS instructor and UCR Medical Emergency Education Project board member, our mission is to provide free emergency response training to students in public schools. We believe that by equipping the next generation with life-saving skills, we empower them to become responsible citizens actively involved in the well-being of their communities. With a focus on creating a culture of preparedness, our goal is to ensure that every student has access to vital emergency education, regardless of their financial circumstances. Join us in our pursuit of a safer future, where knowledge becomes the key to saving lives and fostering resilient communities.
How We
Make a Difference
Volunteering
Our volunteer program offers a unique opportunity for certified instructors, including university students, to make a meaningful impact in their communities. These passionate individuals bring their expertise and enthusiasm to assist in providing our services.
In-person Blended First Aid, CPR, and AED Class (Middle School and High School Students)
We provide interactive in-person classes specifically tailored to middle school and high school students. Our blended learning approach combines the essential skills of first aid, CPR, and AED procedures using adult and child manikins.
Class
Types
Hands-On Only CPR Class (Elementary School Students):
For elementary school students, we offer age-appropriate hands-on only CPR and choking relief classes
Virtual Seminars and Presentations on First Aid, CPR, and AED:
We conduct virtual seminars and presentations on first aid, CPR, and AED. These interactive sessions allow us to reach a wider audience and provide valuable knowledge and guidance from the convenience of any location.
Education
Through our blended First Aid, CPR, and AED class, we offer an engaging and dynamic learning experience. Using adult and child manikins, students learn the basics of these essential topics for individuals their age and older, following the guidance and instructional procedures of the American Heart Association and Red Cross.
We are committed to serving the needs of our local communities by providing our educational services exclusively to state-funded public schools. From elementary schools to middle schools and high schools, we believe in reaching students at various stages of their academic journey
